The
timetable listed below gives the approximate minute that the sun will
dissappear below the horizon from Maui, Hawaii. However, as the seasons change, the
sun's position along the horizon also changes. This means that other
islands such as Lanai may be in the path of the sunset and therefore
the sun will go down earlier. Also, it is not uncommon to have beautiful
cloud formations along the horizon which will also make the sunset
times earlier. It has been our experience that a ceremony starting
two hours before the listed times will be able to adjust to any outdoor
conditions and still take advantage of the spectacular sunsets that
the island of Maui has.
